Legends is an upcoming song cycle about Australia folk heroes, urban myth, and Australian legend. It’s a rollicking musical ride through our colourful folklore, you might learn something, and it may even be true.
In 2024, Legends received a development workshop and industry presentation at PACT Centre for Emerging Artists. This one’s still cooking away, but in the meantime, here’s a few demo tracks from the concept album.
Two of my major goals as a musical composer: write a sung-through musical, and write an awesome ANIME musical that combines everything I love about the genre. That’s the assignment.
“Isekai” follows a withdrawn teenager who has been trying to escape his life by “Isekai-ing” himself into the world of his favourite anime. When he succeeds (?) in doing so, he is sent on an epic journey of self-discovery.
